Cyball Futuristic Football NFT-based Game Plans To Launch on Solana

CyBall is a futuristic football-themed (US: soccer), NFT-based game where users can collect and form a team of CyBlocs and face off against other teams online, or trade and mentor new CyBlocs within the CyBall's ecosystem. Initially, the game will launch on BNB Chain with immediate plans to launch on Solana as soon as it is ready to create a multi-chain gaming environment.

The CyBall game engine combines different elements of strategy, simulation and chance into the form of an exciting and competitive turn-based football card game, where players compete to see who can score the most goals. Players train up their CyBlocs to compete in various game modes with varying levels of rewards. Existing CyBlocs can also mentor young CyBlocs, creating the next generation of unique NFTs. In future expansions, we aim to give players more ways to spend accrued rewards, both in CyBall and in the wider CyBloc universe.

GAME MODES

PvP
Exhibition

Users can enter Exhibition Mode to engage their CyBlocs into casual PvP matches.
This mode will provide a more relaxed, non-serious gaming experience where most users can practice, enjoy and earn some rewards as it will feature CyBall's primary Play-to-Earn mechanic.
CyBall's matchmaking system will ensure only teams of similar average overall ratings are matched against each other to create a fair playground for all users.
There are two types of Exhibition matches:
Exhibition 3v3 (Phase 1)
Exhibition 5v5 (Phase 2)
  • 3 CyBlocs per user
  • 6 key events
  • Costs 3 energy per match
  • Shorter match duration and lower rewards
  • 5 CyBlocs per user
  • 10 key events
  • Costs 5 energy per match

League
League mode is where users compete to rise to the top of the ladder. This mode runs season by season and may be split into multiple levels to cater teams of different ratings.
To enter, users must create and register their teams of 7 Cyblocs (5 starting and 2 substitutes) at the start of a season. These lineups will remain unchanged throughout any particular season.
At the start of every scheduled league match, team owners are required to choose which 5 CyBlocs will participate in the match and which 2 will sit on the bench.
At the end of each season, teams will be rewarded, as well as promoted or relegated according to their results.

League Mode (Phase 2)
  • 7 CyBlocs per user - 5 Starting and 2 Substitutes
  • 10 key events
  • Runs season by season
  • Scheduled matches which cost no energy
  • Higher rewards than Exhibition mode

Tournament
Tournaments are prestigious events that will only feature the best teams at the highest level of competition.
To enter, users must be invited by the tournament organizers. After accepting the invitations, users can proceed to create and register their teams of 7 Cyblocs (5 starting and 2 substitutes) for a particular tournament. These lineups will remain unchanged throughout the tournament.
At the start of every scheduled tournament match, team owners are required to choose which 5 CyBlocs will participate in the match and which 2 will sit on the bench.
At the end of each tournament, teams will be rewarded according to their results. Each CyBloc in the winning team will also be presented with a championship trophy, which will stay attached to their profile.
Tournament Mode (Phase 2)
  • 7 CyBlocs per user - 5 Starting and 2 Substitutes
  • 10 key events
  • Scheduled matches which cost no energy
  • Highest rewards with potential sponsorships from external partners

PvE
Training
Training modes will be where users can level up CyBlocs faster and will not cost any energy.
These game modes will only give out experience to CyBlocs, NOT Play-to-Earn rewards.

3v3 Battle Stadium
PvE (Coming Soon)

3v3 Battle Stadium will be the standard PvE mode of the game with manual battles just like the PvP modes, except that opponents will be computer-generated.

Training 3v3 Battle Stadium (Phase 2)
  • 3 user-owned CyBlocs versus 3 computer-generated CyBlocs
  • 6 key events
  • Costs 0 energy
